Optical Pyrometer is used for non-contact measurement of high temperatures of incandescent objects in the range 800°C to 1500°C. Due to its appropriate design, the simple measuring principle used and the convenience of its operation, high accuracy measurements can also be carried out even by less skilled operators. An additional advantage is the suitability for carrying out measurements on very small surfaces of upto 2 mm diameter at a measuring distance of 60 cm.
